Box Girls
Summary
Boxgirls is a boxing, Muay Thai and kickboxing club for girls and women in Berlin Kreuzberg and Neukölln, creating spaces of inclusion
Sports – social work – social change.
Boxgirls Berlin e.V. is aiming to inspire, motivate and support girls* and women* to work independently, actively and courageously in their neighborhoods and communities.
Their goal is to create dynamic places of inclusion, equal opportunities and safety. They want to achieve this through regular boxing, Muay Thai and kickboxing training for various target groups. Boxing is still a male-dominated sport, both in the media and in sports clubs. Breaking with traditional gender representation is helping girls* challenge patriarchal gender norms.
